Don Harron, host of CBC's Morningside before Peter Gzowski, had an alter-ego named Charlie Farquharson (he had others, too, but this is the one we'll focus on for the moment). Charlie was a rather tattered looking rustic, who had an opinion on just about everything, including (you guessed it) Canadian history. His spelling, as you can see from the title, was atrocious, and often led to some rather amusing interpretations of our nation's proud past.
So, here it is in writing... from one of Canada's earlier stand-up comedians.
