Additional Description
Dan McClerren is a gifted, self-taught, international keyboardist, guitarist, and composer. He has played folk-style guitar and composed music since the age of twelve. At the age of 30, inspired by George Winston, Dan began to intensively study piano on his own, with virtually no instruction. On Living from the Heart, Dan had the great privilege of recording his keyboard compositions for this CD on a 1924 nine-foot Steinway concert grand piano owned by the world-renown classical pianist, Vladimir Horowitz.
McClerren's third instrument is a rare, space-age-looking saxophone called a Digital Flute, or an EWI Electronic Wind Instrument), also known as a wind controller or wind synthesizer. The EWI can play five octaves and more than 500 different sounds, such as a pipe organ, bass guitar, drums, piano, flute, saxophone, violin, or cello.
McClerren's albums often remind listeners of Yanni, David Lanz, George Winston, Enya, Peter Kater, and Liz Story -- all keyboardists who have greatly influenced Dan's musical style.
Listening to Living From the Heart is great for stress management, in that they are relaxing, but also uplifting and re-energizing.
Tracks include: Tamara's Love Theme; Return to the Heart; Living from the Heart; A Walk in the Forest; Petite Suite; Sparkles in the Snow; The West; My Beloved; Thanksgiving; Under the Stars; You'll Find Me; Living from the Heart (Theme).
